Haley told me she just thought of this:

There's an old man in a chair and he is sitting looking at his Christmas tree. His 5 year old grandson hops into his lap and asks,

"What do you want for Christmas, Grandpa?" And the old man looks at the Christmas tree and the lights from the tree are reflecting in his eyes, and he answers,

"More time."

Lol. I feel the exact opposite. I don't talk with my dad anymore. On rare occasisons but other than that... no. I come from a deaf family so it was always hard to talk with them because you can't express emotions through hands as much as you can through spoken word in my opinion. I can't really talk to my mom about anything personal because she grew up without a sense of logic due to an abusive family. That's how I take it anyway, growing up 18 years with her. 19, even. I moved out at 19 with my now-fiancee.

I'm now 21 and really couldn't give a shit if my dad died. My stepdad however, I'd be sad only because my mom would have to spend money on a cab to get around. I'm 21 and have no need for driving. I'm not really close to my mom either, closer than I am with my dad but maybe by half a mile. My stepdad's a good guy but the only person I felt filled a father role was my Grandpa and he's been dead for... 3 years now, I think. It's just one of those things I have to live with. I know I don't actually HAVE to and I know it's not too late to reconnect with my dad... but I just don't want to.

(as of now) Yesterday at work this guy that drives me home, Zach was going over to our supervisor and I jokingly said 'I got a pizza in the oven at home!' and he was like 'What?' and I said 'my fiancee put a pizza in the oven.' Then chuckled a bit. But apparently my sup overheard that and then proceeded to text Zach on the way back to my house to drop me off that apparently I'm uncomfortable with weed. Which completely made me lose my friggin' mind because what the fuck. How do you get that out of 'lol pizza in oven'.

Just needed to type this before I go to work so I don't 'carry it with me' per se. Also told Haley and she doesn't get it either. :\ Don't really see why she couldn't have just texted me herself though? Weed is a thing a lot of people just joke around about to my knowledge so, I dunno. My mom smoked medical marijuana for her leg pains and still does and I've never had a problem with it. If she was trying to make me smoke it, then there would be a problem and I'd most likely have a general stereotype about weed. But I don't, it's whatever to me. I mean hell before my mom started doing that I was around Jake's mom who did the same stuff or worse... if it's not directly involving me go have fun and do whatever, IMO. Just don't try and shove me into it.

The reason this was brought up is because my Sup is having a party at her house and wants the team to come... I'm not going, I know that. I'm not a party kind of person. I mean, yeah, if I had the chance to go back and relive the party on grad night from high school, in retrospect, I would totally stay and chill. But with something work related... nu-uh. I'm keeping the line between personal life and work life and that's that. Yeah I talk to Tye from work on Steam sometimes but that's really it... I mean, he's not my boss for one! It just has people view you in a very unprofessional light if you mix work and personal lives like that. I just wanna do my 8 hours and go home and chill with Haley and play video games. But it was basically told to me there'd be marijuana at the party by Zach in the car last night and I was just like '...okay? So?' and apparently my sup thinks I'm uncomfortable with that. But that means she thinks I'm going to the party which is a lolno. But I'll just let her keep thinking that, lol. It's humorous.
