Marriage is a game over in today's spoiled-rich-girl-but-not-a-rich-girl culture, especially for men, and what women can get away with is astounding. They can ruin men's lives via divorce, if they have a kid that's tons of money in child support being funneled away from the guy or else he goes to prison. Cheating, and consequently STDs are promoted through this mentality as well, that once they're "tired" of this husband they can just dispose of them and find a new "boytoy".

I would not get married if my life depended on it in this day and age. I'd rather shoot myself, if it came down to it. I'm not risking a relationship where the other person can literally kill me anytime they want, emotionally or physically.

This is just my train of thought but marriage as a whole should be phased out. If you find someone you wanna live with forever, that's cool but you should still be your own individual people, and there are a lot of women out there who are not their own individual person and require a man to be "whole", which is a load of crock. Unfortunately tax breaks make marriage a thing and stuff like that.

Not to mention the media giving girls/women that "they too, can have the 50 thousand dollar wedding of their dreams at any moment of their lives without fail!" Please.

There is so much wrong with the institution of marriage for both women and men that everyone should just stop and develop themselves before dicking around with each other, but that's never going to happen.
